Anonymous asked: hey! your blog is awesome, and i appreciate your take-no-bullshit attitude without being rude. on a side note, are you able to answer questions privately without them being posted if i'm not anon?
Why, thank you, anon! And, yes, if anyone requests I answer privately, I do.

Leviticus 11:10
King James Version (KJV)
10And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you:
Leviticus 18:22
King James Version (KJV)
22Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
Both in the Bible. Both “abominations.” Yet only one is still a sin. And believe I’ve looked really hard for the scripture that says, “Do this, but not that.” ~ Kim
“Wait what?”
1 John 4:8 (NLT) - “God is love.”
1 Corinthians 13:4 (NLT) - “Love is not jealous.”
Exodus 20:5 (NLT) - “I the LORD thy God am a jealous God”
Wait, what?
“Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.
[…]
And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”
Matthew 6-6:5
I have an undergrad degree in computer science. In programming, this is what is known as an infinite loop. Kill the killer, kill the man who killed the killer, kill the man who killed the man who killed the killer, ad infinitum (or at least ad out-of-people-to-kill). It is bad programming. If it is true that God wrote the Bible, he would clearly suck at computer programming. ~ Steve

b-a-n-g-a-r-a-n-g asked: I'm a Christian, but I totally and completely respect you for being an Atheist who actually respects faith. I've always been comfortable with people prodding me with questions, or pointing out things they don't understand, and I'm glad you're questioning it. Someone needs to, because a lot of religious people can't think of good questions to ask. Also, thank you for being knowledgeable! Finally, I'm glad you don't shove Atheism down people's throats. I would never try that on anybody.
Thanks for the ask Ohaileslie! OR Thank you, thank you, thank you, and thank you, I should say. haha. I’m glad you like the blog.

I swear I’m going to start updating more. I keep waiting for work to slow down, but I’m still working 80+ hours a week. Oh well, no excuses.
